THE CAT'S WHISKERS... offering luxury holiday suites for your feline friend.

For your cat's ultimate comfort we have installed insulation, 4hp reverse cycle airconditioning. Our Deluxe Suites have power points to enable the use of heated pads in winter or extra fans in summer.

To try and limit the possibility of your cat contracting any of the very prevalent (FRD) Feline Respiratory Diseases whilst boarding, we have installed sneeze barriers between each run, and ensured excellent ventilation.
As part of our meticulous cleaning regime we also use Virkon as is used in most veterinary clinics to ensure the cattery is as clean as possible.

For the safety of all our feline friends, your cat is recommended to have a current F5 vaccination which covers feline leukaemia.The minimum required is F3

All the suites surround a magnificent central atrium area with a waterfall and glorious green trees, which ensures your cat has visual stimulus and pleasant surroundings at all times. The Deluxe Suites on the north east side have direct access to six large outside areas in which your cat can laze in the sun whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of the birds and wildlife present on this beautiful country property. The Standard Suites on the south west side have large individual viewing ports and access to a further three outside areas, which each cat will share on a rotation basis daily through these runs. We do not run cats from different families together !

I can easily accomodate multiple cats from the same family, who can share connected runs and have outside playtime together.

Our spacious suites are large by any standards with the inside suites measuring 2.3m x 1.5m x 1m and the outdoor areas are 2.7m x 2.3m x 1.9m.
The inside areas are split level, for cats that like to climb.

We have secured the on call services of Dr Elizabeth Colvin BVSc DVM (Original owner of Australind Veterinary Clinic) to treat any cat related medical issues that may arise.

We do have isolation runs away from the main cattery, for the welfare of other guests your cat will be removed to there if at any time a health issue manifests.

If your cat requires veterinary attention we will initially contact Dr Colvin and then if required take your cat to your nominated veterinarian. All costs involved with treating your cat will be bourne by you the owner.

For the health and safety of all guests, cats requiring boarding at The Cat's Whiskers will need to comply with the following conditions.

* Current vaccination certificate to be sighted. (Must have been given at least 14 days prior to arrival)
* Sterilization certificate to be sighted.
* Regular deworming program.
* No fleas or evidence of prior infestation.
* No earmite/ ringworms or evidence of prior infestation.
* Cats must present in good general health.

We maintain the right to refuse entry to any cat not complying with these requirements.

We ask that all cat's arrive secured in a suitable cat cage or pet carrier. Your cat must stay in their carrier until safely inside the cattery building.

Returning your booking form early, with your deposit will secure your position in peak periods. No holiday period booking is considered as made until the form and deposit are received. Please note that your deposit is not refunded unless your cancellation is made fourteen days prior to your booked arrival date.

I will of course be catering for cats of all breeds, however ONLY sterilised cats will be accepted.

Every guest will have clean, fresh, bedding supplied (Snooza Igloos), or you can if you wish bring your own suitable clean bedding. Toys are available and relaxing music is played throughout the suites to soothe your feline friend. Guest suites are cleaned twice daily. Ensuring your cat is comfortable and happy is our priority throughout their stay.

In winter the Deluxe Suites have power points for heated pads. The Standard Suites can request hot water bottles in soft fluffy covers, all stylishly made by D for Dogs.

FEEDING
We supply a range of super premium dry and wet food. Special diets catered for on request.

Our cattery also uses eco-friendly litter in each suite.
