Ch. Highcroft Calienté made quite an impact at only eight months of age, going WINNERS BITCH and BEST OF WINNERS for the major points under notable judge Mrs Alane Gomez at the Land O' Lakes K.C. Cluster Show in the U.S.

If that wasn't enough, that very same day she went all the way to BEST OF VARIETY/BREED over Specials. Shortly thereafter, Calli took WINNERS for a four point major under well know breeder/judge, Mrs Maralyn Bussee at the Kansas City Collie Club Specialty.

Taking time off in the summer to grow "new clothes", Calli returned to the ring the following show season, to take her third major win, going all the way from the classes to BEST OF VARIETY (again over specials) and a Group 3. She handily finished her Championship title at the Collie Club of Minnesota Specialty under Dr Robert D Smith taking BEST OF WINNERS and BEST OPPOSITE SEX to BEST OF BREED, over Specials!

Finishing with FOUR MAJORS, Calli is a Collie for both Specialty and All Breed arenas, showing true type and form, adhering to a standard of excellence...........

Probably not much more needs to be said of this outstanding bitch. From Highcroft, the leading kennel in America for 5 consecutive years in the late 90's and winner again of the prestigeous Presidents Cup for Leading Breeder in 2000. "Calli" was held in high enough esteem to be retained by Highcroft for their breeding program. Notably she is the dam of the CH "Highcroft Crowd Pleaser" who when bred back to his granddam CH "Highcroft Wyndlair Azure ROM" has already produced the beautiful blue merle bitch CH "Highcroft Cashmere Clouds" recently sold to Rockwood Collies in Arkansas.

This bitch's pedigree displays many "Milas" collies which are of course present in the pedigree of Int.Br.Fin CH "Lakefield Love Is In The Air" (AKA - Xande) who was BOB at the Milan World Dog Show and has been campaigning so successfully in Europe this past year. Xande is now headed for England.
The Milas line of collie is founded on the UK Ch Bririch Gold Emblem.

Calli excels, above all, in head planes with the leanest, cleanest wedge, lovely well-shaped dark eyes, naturally tipped ears - her head is so very hard to fault. Possessed of a lovely outline she has a great neck, is also a very sound bitch with all round correct single tracking movement, great angulation & strong topline.
