LochWind Rough Collies

3 critiques of LochWind Better B Dazzled
Mr Owen Wright - International All Breeds Judge & Collie Specialist - New Zealand
May 2004 - A nice typey tri bitch. Good head with correct planes, good reach of neck, fair spring of rib. Good hind quarters and nice length of body. A free flowing mover, correct front and rear, covers the ground. Perhaps could have a little more bend of stifle. Overall a very nice bitch.

Mr Bob Bell - International All Breeds Judge and Collie Specialist - Victoria, Australia.
September 2004. "Lovely tri-colour of good overall breed type, a well balanced head with correct length, correct head planes with nice ear set good expression. Very sound moving bitch, but lacked coat and a little rangy for me.

Mrs Sue Henley - Arranbrae Collies. All Breeds judge.
Glamourously marked tri coloured bitch with a beautiful outline.
Pleasing length of head with nice flat planes. nice expression & neat ears finish her head off well.
She has a nice length of body, would prefer more spring of rib.
She moves soundly from all angles & excells in profile movement.
Lovely reach of neck & correct croup/tail set.
Nice tight feet and is all over a nice bitch of good breed type & temperament.

COLLIE ROUGH & SMOOTH SOCIETY of WESTERN AUSTRALIA
SPECIALTY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.

24th August 2003
Judge : Ms Miranda Blake (Corydon Collies - UK)

Junior Dog Class
LochWind Better B Good
By: Ch Cathkin Thblubyu Gesswho
From: Am Ch Highcroft Caliente

First place
Tri at top end of spectrum for size, but presenting a super well balanced outline. He maintained a truly level topline on the move - probably the best of the day! I would like more spring of rib and better front action. His head was clean and of US style, but his eyes were dark and quite well set.

Third place
Another super moving tri, with correct eye. I would like less depth of head and more underjaw, as well as a more level topline.

Nice type. Could do with a bit more spring of rib - should come with maturity.

Just loved this sable girl. Good bone, proportions and movement. Expression to spare.

Challenge Bitch 25 points. - Vedamea Art Ov Gold.
Minor Pup. I couldn't deny her exquisite expression coupled with type, balance, bone and attitude. Just loved her! She has to give way to maturity for Best of Breed and Runner up BOB.

Tri. Pretty bitch, moved and performed well, a bit on the rangy side for me, would have preferred shorter hocks.

Second Place
Blue merle. Coat need to clear to conform more to the standard requirements. Should come with coat change. Hope so, because she is certainly a very promising youngster.

From the Minor Dog Class.
Reserve Challenge Dog & RUBOB.

Was absolutely delighted with my Reserve Challenge Dog - lovely expression, correct shape, length of leg, substance. He looks like a minor collie should. Definitely not a "fluffy stuffy". Although, he needs to let down in hindquarters - this should come with maturity. Hope he keeps coming on for you & the lady who presented & showed him so well. The WA Collies were a delight to judge & I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
